Conference: Regional Power for Clean Transport 30 Oct - 31 Oct, 2013
Regions are an important contributor in developing European energy and transport policy. The new EU policy on clean power for transport will be the key discussion point, emphasising on biogas, electromobility and hydrogen. Members of the European Parliament, EU officials, and representatives from national level, counties and municipalities meet actors from industry and R&D at the conference Regional Power for Clean Transport on 30-31 October 2013, in Oslo. The conference is organised by Akershus County Council and Hydrogen, fuel cells and Electro-mobility in European Regions, HyER. The county of Akershus is the area surrounding Norway’s capital, Oslo. Together, the Oslo and Akershus region is a European frontrunner in clean transport with more than 5,000 e-cars as well as fuel cell cars, biogas and fuel cell buses and a fuel cell strategy. Since last May, 5 hydrogen fuel cell buses have been operating in Oslo within the framework of the EU co-funded Clean Hydrogen In European Cities (CHIC) project. The project is co-financed by the EU’s Fuel Cell Hydrogen Joint Undertaking programme. Join us on the road towards a fossil-free transport sector! For further information, contact the Akershus County Council at +47 22 05 56 80 or the HyER Secretariat at +32 2 223 28 11.

INVITATION: presentation of the study “urban buses: alternative power trains for Europe” 6 Dec - 6 Dec, 2012
Clean buses with alternative powertrains can contribute to de-carbonising urban road transport. To study the advantages of clean buses, some 40 companies and government organisations participated in a study on the alternative powertrain technologies available for urban buses in Europe in 2012-2030. The study facilitated McKinsey & Company. On 6 December 2012, the Fuel Cell Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) which supported the study will officially present the key outcomes and discuss with participants the impact on the EU transport policy at its premises, in Brussels. To register for this event, please send an e-mail to Alexandra.Cutean@fch.europa.eu. Attendance is free, but places are limited. To consult the programme, click here.
